Kelly, Chris and Shea racing up the rode after our walk to the Cabrillo Lighthouse.

Our walk to the beautiful Cabrillo lighthouse. It was AMAZING! Aftr all the years I have gone to Fort Bragg I can't believe that I have never had the opportunity to see this beautiful spot.

Since we have met the Burns and been warmly embraced into their family, we have made some wonderful memories. They are such easy people to be around and the way they share their beautiful home on the ocean is appreciated more than I can say. Thanks you SO much for including us in all the fun times that the Burns are known for. We had a GREAT time even though I lost my wad at the card game!

Ashley's Introduction to her new BO

Ashley called last week and wanted to bring her new Bo over for dinner and games Sunday night so we could all meet him and basically evaluate the poor guy. If I do say so, any guy who can handle that girl has my utmost respect. He seems really nice and so sweet to her. He kept offering to help me with everything and it was just great to get to know him a little. We played a game about knowing the people you are playing with, so he was at a real disadvantage. Anyway, dinner was yummy, conversation was good and it's always awesome to me to have the people I love so much around me. Thanks for a great night........................

Saying goodbye to my boy, again

My boy got to come home for a week to work remotely. The company he works for said he could come home 1 week a month and work from here, which we were all happy about. I love that huge kid of mine. Zoey, his dog on the car, absolutely wets herself when she sees Ryan. She cries and whimpers for half an hour when she sees him. Its the cutest thing. They seem to have a real kinetic relationship. Unfortunately, I get teary eyed everytime I have to say goodbye. I'm very proud of my young man!

Lunch Dates and Bike Trips

O.K. So it's been eons since I have shared my days. Thought that it was time to play a little catch up. Last week, Summy, Brett and I had a nice lunch date at Sierra Nevada. Summy has been SO busy with summer school that I haven't seen hide nor tail of her for way too long. I miss that girl of mine, so it was nice to catch up and hear her latest goings on. Brett is always a treat for both of us. We had a greast time!
Last Sunday, Jacky, Bert, Dana and Ken, Sweetie and I all got a bike ride in on the American River bike trail. Jacky had never been on the trail and it always takes quite a bit of planning for her to be able to spend the day away. It was wonderful! The weather was beautiful and we even got a little swim in the river. Only complaint of the day was that it was'nt loing enough. Thanks for an awesome time, guys!

Never enough Summertime

I have no camera to document my days lately, although that is kind of a silly thing to say, due to the fact that we have a photo business and have many cameras around the house. Problem is, that they are not user friendly to me and I am wishing for a little digital that I can stick in my pocket for the many moments of my life that I want to remember.
Life has been busy lately, many trips to Sacto. to do stuff for the duplex and also to have work done on our menagerie of vehicles that we have so lamely let go. An old friend of mine has been bringing them all up to speed, and for all the work he has done, we are both very grateful! In spite of all the busyness, I always find time to mix in a little "FUN" and I am especially good at this in the summertime. This last weekend while we were in Sac; Rich and I got a chance to go out to dinner, movie, dance and run minimally clothed through the sprinklers at Land Park at midnight (everyone should do that at least once, it was AWESOME) and then had a sleepover/2:00a.m. picnic on the floor of the duplex! It was such simple, pure fun but I must say that sleeping on the floor felt a little harder than it did some years ago. That duplex holds SO many memories for him and I. It was our first home after we got married. We shared so much fun there and being back in that living room again to spend the night, was well, lets just say SPECIAL!!!

Love, Love Summertime!!

Well, I know that my "blogging" days have been a little lagging these past few weeks. It's not that nothing has been going on, it's more like EVERYTHING has been going on and I am squeezing every last drop out of summer that I possibly can.
Sweetie and I just got back from a 3 day anniversary trip over to one of our favorite, relaxing spots by Calistoga and basked in the sun and warm mineral springs. It both invigorates me and relaxes me at the same time and I find myself thinking once again how richly blessed I am to have a best friend, soulmate and life partner to share everything with. We love to be together, doing whatever in life and after 28 years of marriage, I find it hard to believe sometimes, that I still feel so in love with my husband.
In the last couple of weeks, there have been several awesome river trips with friends, biking adventures that I love, going to Sac. numerous times to visit my precious friend, Sandy, who is still in U.C. Davis. Seeing her these past couple of weeks has REALLY hit home to me, the fact that, if we have our health, we really, really do have all the riches that we need. I absolutely HATE to see suffering and especially to someone I care alot about.
So, once again, I linger with the thoughts that this life is filled with much joy and pleasure but also with alot of pain and hardship................................................

4th of July

Fourth of July! It's summertime and Ryan drove all the way home to spend the weekend with us and friends. I was so happy to see my boy. I love spending deep talking time with him and watching intently how much he has grown since he has moved away. He is an awesome guy who I am SO proud to call "my son"! I really learn alot from him and am so thankful to GOD for his special gifts that he blesses me with every time I see him.
We also spent 6 hours on chico creek with the "Hebert" clan and had a great day in the sun, with tubes and water. It was Lukes birthday and we were so happy he decided to share his day with us.
I also added a pic of our beautiful "flag lined" town that always makes me a little teary eyed when I see it. All the way down skyway the flags are lined up and it's so beautiful to see them blowing in the breeze. It was a wonderful 4th even though we were absolutely too EXHAUSTED to go see fireworks. We all collapsed when we got home from the creek. I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
