Fall "Bishops Farm" Trip

Today we embarked on our 4th annual "Bishops Farm" fall trip. Each year we seem to have some newbys join our group and this year Ashleys new boyfriend, Nate, came with us, also Chris's big brother Pat, Michelle and her people, Kari's son, Eric and a little friend of Mia's. After all indulging on carmel apples, apple pies, tire courses, cotton candy and corn mazes, we all seemed to enjoy another fun time with family and friends at Bishops.

Michelle's 87th Birthday

Today was Michelle's 87th birthday and I for one think that she has held up pretty well for that many years! We met at Billie park with a cake and all the birthday goodies and had a great time! So happy to share your special day with you, my friend!!!

A "GIRLS KNIT WEEKEND" at the Nye

We knitters escaped away for the weekend for a really fun time at the Nye ranch in Fort Bragg. It was awesome to make some new friends and see all of the beautiful things that everyone was making. It totally inspired me. We laughed, ate REALLY great food, thanks to Jen and just generally enjoyed hanging out. Karen, once again thanks so much for inviting us all up there. It's always a treat!!!

Since we have met the Burns and been warmly embraced into their family, we have made some wonderful memories. They are such easy people to be around and the way they share their beautiful home on the ocean is appreciated more than I can say. Thanks you SO much for including us in all the fun times that the Burns are known for. We had a GREAT time even though I lost my wad at the card game!

Ashley's Introduction to her new BO

Ashley called last week and wanted to bring her new Bo over for dinner and games Sunday night so we could all meet him and basically evaluate the poor guy. If I do say so, any guy who can handle that girl has my utmost respect. He seems really nice and so sweet to her. He kept offering to help me with everything and it was just great to get to know him a little. We played a game about knowing the people you are playing with, so he was at a real disadvantage. Anyway, dinner was yummy, conversation was good and it's always awesome to me to have the people I love so much around me. Thanks for a great night........................

Saying goodbye to my boy, again

My boy got to come home for a week to work remotely. The company he works for said he could come home 1 week a month and work from here, which we were all happy about. I love that huge kid of mine. Zoey, his dog on the car, absolutely wets herself when she sees Ryan. She cries and whimpers for half an hour when she sees him. Its the cutest thing. They seem to have a real kinetic relationship. Unfortunately, I get teary eyed everytime I have to say goodbye. I'm very proud of my young man!

Lunch Dates and Bike Trips

O.K. So it's been eons since I have shared my days. Thought that it was time to play a little catch up. Last week, Summy, Brett and I had a nice lunch date at Sierra Nevada. Summy has been SO busy with summer school that I haven't seen hide nor tail of her for way too long. I miss that girl of mine, so it was nice to catch up and hear her latest goings on. Brett is always a treat for both of us. We had a greast time!
Last Sunday, Jacky, Bert, Dana and Ken, Sweetie and I all got a bike ride in on the American River bike trail. Jacky had never been on the trail and it always takes quite a bit of planning for her to be able to spend the day away. It was wonderful! The weather was beautiful and we even got a little swim in the river. Only complaint of the day was that it was'nt loing enough. Thanks for an awesome time, guys!

Never enough Summertime

I have no camera to document my days lately, although that is kind of a silly thing to say, due to the fact that we have a photo business and have many cameras around the house. Problem is, that they are not user friendly to me and I am wishing for a little digital that I can stick in my pocket for the many moments of my life that I want to remember.
Life has been busy lately, many trips to Sacto. to do stuff for the duplex and also to have work done on our menagerie of vehicles that we have so lamely let go. An old friend of mine has been bringing them all up to speed, and for all the work he has done, we are both very grateful! In spite of all the busyness, I always find time to mix in a little "FUN" and I am especially good at this in the summertime. This last weekend while we were in Sac; Rich and I got a chance to go out to dinner, movie, dance and run minimally clothed through the sprinklers at Land Park at midnight (everyone should do that at least once, it was AWESOME) and then had a sleepover/2:00a.m. picnic on the floor of the duplex! It was such simple, pure fun but I must say that sleeping on the floor felt a little harder than it did some years ago. That duplex holds SO many memories for him and I. It was our first home after we got married. We shared so much fun there and being back in that living room again to spend the night, was well, lets just say SPECIAL!!!

Love, Love Summertime!!

Well, I know that my "blogging" days have been a little lagging these past few weeks. It's not that nothing has been going on, it's more like EVERYTHING has been going on and I am squeezing every last drop out of summer that I possibly can.
Sweetie and I just got back from a 3 day anniversary trip over to one of our favorite, relaxing spots by Calistoga and basked in the sun and warm mineral springs. It both invigorates me and relaxes me at the same time and I find myself thinking once again how richly blessed I am to have a best friend, soulmate and life partner to share everything with. We love to be together, doing whatever in life and after 28 years of marriage, I find it hard to believe sometimes, that I still feel so in love with my husband.
In the last couple of weeks, there have been several awesome river trips with friends, biking adventures that I love, going to Sac. numerous times to visit my precious friend, Sandy, who is still in U.C. Davis. Seeing her these past couple of weeks has REALLY hit home to me, the fact that, if we have our health, we really, really do have all the riches that we need. I absolutely HATE to see suffering and especially to someone I care alot about.
So, once again, I linger with the thoughts that this life is filled with much joy and pleasure but also with alot of pain and hardship................................................

4th of July

Fourth of July! It's summertime and Ryan drove all the way home to spend the weekend with us and friends. I was so happy to see my boy. I love spending deep talking time with him and watching intently how much he has grown since he has moved away. He is an awesome guy who I am SO proud to call "my son"! I really learn alot from him and am so thankful to GOD for his special gifts that he blesses me with every time I see him.
We also spent 6 hours on chico creek with the "Hebert" clan and had a great day in the sun, with tubes and water. It was Lukes birthday and we were so happy he decided to share his day with us.
I also added a pic of our beautiful "flag lined" town that always makes me a little teary eyed when I see it. All the way down skyway the flags are lined up and it's so beautiful to see them blowing in the breeze. It was a wonderful 4th even though we were absolutely too EXHAUSTED to go see fireworks. We all collapsed when we got home from the creek. I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summertime creek FUN!!

Yesterday was "Lets have fun at the creek day"! I officially designated this day for this very event. Lumbley stumbled on this great spot to be in the water and precious sunshine and thankfully invited us to join her and Michelle. We rounded up the kids, 8 of them to be exact, some strays that also joined us, dogs and tubes and headed to catch poliwogs and have a truly wonderful summer day. I honestly could not be happier when I am with people I love, the sun is shining on me and there is water somewhere around. It really is like nothing else for me. Mia and Austin even caught me some poliwogs that I put in my fountain and hopefully, with Gods help will be bug-eating frogs for my garden in a short time. Love it, Love it..........

After wedding getaway

Sweetie and I had made a vow, that when the crazziness of the wedding was over and done, we were going to sneak away on the motorcycle, together, alone and enjoy some solitude. So, a couple of weeks ago we did just that. It was fabulous.! We took the roads less traveled, I spread my arms out, closed my eyes and felt like I was flying like a bird......... It truly felt as though I were flying and it was exhilerating. We stopped at Lake Barriessa and hiked down the hill and swam, went to Calistoga for lunch and took many roads that we had no clue where they would take us. I love being with the love of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm LAME!!!!

WOW, I looked at my blog today and realized that I have neither been venting or sharing since June 30th. Alot has happened since then and many seconds and events have gone by. I don't know if any one of you who read this silly thing have ever wondered why in the world you do some of the things you do, but it's what I have been pondering as of late. Our minds are a crazy and wonderful thing but they can also cause us alot of anxiety. There has been alot of joy around me but also much pain and suffering. When I care about someone, it really breaks my heart to see them suffer and not be able to do a thing to help. So, life goes on, good and bad, happiness and sorrow................

Sarah's Baby

One more thing that I forgot to mention is that, Bert, Julie and I met at the gym tonight to workout together because Sarah is on maternity leave after just having "Baby Natalie" The three of us were going to go over to her house after our workout but Sarah called me today and said she would meet us at the gym. Baby Natalie, is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, Sarah! Thank you so much for letting us all hold her and snuggle with her alittle. It's such a treat to hold a new life, it always makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. You also look great, Sarah and we are falling apart without you. Can't wait until you get back to whipping our butts.........

A Day in the SUN!!!

There is always fun to be had when I get the chance to play in the sun with friends! Today, some us met at Michelle's house and we all treked down to the flume with our big inner tubes, or should I say most of us. Some of us were a little cheap and brought their little "NEMO" tubes but thankfully, I had more sense! It was so fun floating in the water until we were kindly escorted out of the flume by the nice P.G. & E. man. Most of us ended up over at Michelle's to go swimming. It's so awesome when you share that gorgeous pool with us, Michelle. I want a season pass, if that's a possibility??? Thanks so much for letting us all come over. FUN FUN

I Miss BLOGGING!!

O.k., so its been since my birthday since I have written in my "BLOG" and I can say that SO many wonderful days have gone by with so many fun and special things, and I feel as though there is no way to catch up and share them all. My life is SO incredibly full at this stage of the game and I tend to want to make each and every second last as long as possible.
Tonight, I left without my camera, and we headed up to the gorgeous "Burns" house for dinner. What a great time we have with them and I am so thankful that Summer has married into such an amazingly loving, fun family! We took a walk around their property, watched the sunset overlooking the beautiful canyon and then shared a great meal. They are such easy people to be around and it is absolutely "dog heaven" up there. I have so much to learn from you, Karin. I am so envious of your gardening skills and what you can make with a ball of yarn leaves me in awe! Can't wait to come up and just hang with you and reap all you have learned! Thanks for having us and I look forward to more fun with the "Burns"

My Birthday with Kari

Well, I have no pictures, only the ones in my mind. Kari called last night and wanted to get together for my birthday because she is leaving on a mega-trip really soon and since we haven't spent hardly any time together alone lately, we decided to sneak away for the evening. I have So much fun with that silly friend of mine! She picked me up in Chico and we headed to Sierra Nevada. I had been eating absolutely ALL day long today and the thought of eating again totally grossed me out but she was hungry so as wrong as it was, I treated her on MY birthday. Ha We talked and laughed and of course, talked and laughed somemore. You would think that the world was ending and we only had 5 more minutes to get all of our thoughts out. That's how it is when we get together and I love it. We bounce from one thing to the next with only abandon, random disorder. Then we went to T.J. Max and shopped. It's one of our favorite places. We went in the big dressing room together and tried on all of our treasures for each other. Laughed ourselves silly and the girl finally said to us, "Girls, we are closing in 5 minutes" . I had so much fun and am so thankful that you called me for a good time. Love ya bunches, my friend..............................

Sarah's Treat before Baby

Tuesday night was our last night of torture with Sarah before she went to have her little Natalie on Weds. so we came up with the idea to give her a little treat after our torture session. I made her chocolate chip cookies and Kari and Jacky brought lots of wonderful treats to give her a foot bath/ massage. I think she got the hint that we all really love and appreciate her, not just as our trainer, but also as our "friend". I can't wait to meet her Sarah, I know she will be BEAUTIFUL!!!!
